According to reports, Netflix will deliver a special surprise to the audience by premering Dhurandhar in the last week of January 2026. The platform has not publicly confirmed the schedule yet, but the streaming rollout is expected to follow soon after the cinema run winds down.

Dhurandhar first arrived in theatres on December 5, 2025, giving it a wide window before its digital bow. The gap between the cinema debut and the planned Netflix launch is around eight weeks, which is now common for major Hindi titles looking to maximise both revenue streams.

The film’s timeline gains extra importance because the sequel, Dhurandhar 2, is already locked for release. The second chapter is scheduled to reach cinemas on March 19, 2026. The early 2026 OTT premiere of the first film will likely help new viewers catch up before the follow-up arrives.

The commercial response has matched the scale of the project. Trade experts had forecast an opening somewhere between Rs 18 crore and Rs 20 crore in India. However, box office tracking portal Sacnilk reported that Dhurandhar exceeded projections with a first-day collection of Rs 28 crore. The spy thriller has already emerged as the number one Indian film of the year with massive earnings.

A reliable industry source exclusively told Filmibeat Chief Copy Editor Abhishek Ranjit, "Netflix has paid a whopping amount for the exclusive OTT rights of Dhurandhar. The OTT platform is expected to announce the OTT release date of the film in the upcoming days."

Aditya Dhar and Ranveer Singh aimed to elevate big-screen espionage with a large-scale Indian spy story, and audiences responded with full enthusiasm. The film was pitched as a major spy release for the year and has now turned into the most commercially successful Indian title of 2025, both at home and in international markets.

The ensemble cast also generated interest. Casting director Mukesh Chhabra assembled a line-up that included Madhavan as intelligence planner Ajay Sanyal and Akshaye Khanna as Rehman Dakait.
