Ambrish Verma On Sapne Vs Everyone 2 Dreams Will Test You

Shedding some light on how season one's success shaped his approach this time, Ambrish Verma shares, "The love that season one received definitely gave me confidence. It reassured me that if something feels right in the moment of writing, directing, or editing, you can trust that instinct. When it translates to the audience, it builds a certain belief in your gut, and that's a great feeling as a creator. But the flip side is just as important. With that acceptance, there's always the risk of lowering your guard, of assuming the audience will be more forgiving because they connected with your earlier work. I was very conscious of not letting that happen. While writing season two, I kept reminding myself to stay as self-critical as I was in season one, to not slip into a comfort zone where you start believing that whatever you write will work."

Elaborating on the true cost of chasing dreams, Verma adds, "Dreams are often romanticised, but the truth is far less comfortable. They come with misery, heartbreak, and if you're not careful, the risk of turning bitter and resentful. You have to stay aware of that while still being ambitious. Chase the dream, but consciously guard yourself against what it can take from you. Heartbreak is inevitable. It's collateral damage. I've also heard this, time and again, from people far wiser than me, that sometimes, even after achieving a dream, you're left wondering if it was worth it. I don't say that from personal experience yet, but it stays with me. What I do know for sure is that if you think it's going to be hard, multiply that by a thousand. That's the reality of what it truly takes."
