DUPAHIYA ENDING EXPLAINED: HERE'S WHAT HAPPENED IN CLIMAX?
In the climax of Dupahiya, tensions run high as Banwari Jha eagerly awaits Bhugol's return with the second-hand bike. Meanwhile, the groom, Kuber, arrives with his wedding procession, showing little interest in the bride and focusing solely on the much-anticipated dupahiya. However, Bhugol returns empty-handed, his efforts to retrieve the bike proving futile.
The situation escalates when Kuber and his family, upon realizing that the bike is missing, decide to call off the wedding. Just as they are about to leave, Durlabh-Kuber's brother, who was previously rejected by Roshni-steps forward. He surprises everyone by offering to marry Roshni without any demand for a bike, exposing the stark contrast between him and his materialistic sibling.
Inside, Roshni faces a pivotal moment when Amawas urges her not to marry Kuber, warning that he will never bring her happiness. Realizing the truth, she refuses the marriage, standing her ground. The drama intensifies when the police recover the stolen bike from the sarpanch's well, exposing him as the mastermind behind the theft. While the revelation brings relief to many, Roshni remains unimpressed. She boldly calls Kuber stupid and rejects him outright. Enraged, Kuber insults her, but the entire gathering-including her father, Banwari-rallies behind her.
In a powerful village meeting, Pushplata addresses the community, shedding light on how Dhadakpur was never truly crime-free as long as dowry remained a deeply ingrained practice. She convinces the villagers to pledge against giving or taking dowry, marking a significant social shift. Meanwhile, Bhugol finally achieves his dream, captivating the audience with his gender-bender dance performance. In a heartfelt moment, Nirmal apologizes to Roshni, and the two mend their friendship.
With justice served and societal change set in motion, Dupahiya concludes on a high note, delivering a meaningful message while wrapping up its story with hope and triumph.
WHO STOLE THE BIKE IN DUPAHIYA AND WHY?
As mentioned above, it was the sarpanch-Pushplata's senior-who orchestrated the bike theft. His growing jealousy towards Dhadakpur and Pushplata's rising influence pushed him to sabotage the wedding, hoping to undermine her authority and regain control.
However, his plan backfires when the police chief, with the help of Nirmal (Komal Kushwaha), Pushplata's daughter and Roshni's friend, uncovers the truth.
