Q. The film has performed strongly at the box office. Did this success match your own expectations - especially after audiences recently embraced other intense love stories like Kabir Singh and Saiyyara? Were you confident that people would connect with this kind of passion on screen?

A: I was very confident about the film we had made and the story that it was trying to tell. In the recent past, passionate love stories have found an audience and have tasted success. Since I had liked the film and did it, I was hoping that the audience will also embrace it and that's exactly what happened. I am thrilled and grateful for the love that they have shown the film

Q. This film explores a shade of love that tiptoes into obsession. As an actor, what do you feel about the impact cinema has on today's youth when it comes to love, boundaries and emotional intensity?

A: In India we make films for a large cross section of people. There are people of all ages watching films. The idea behind making a film is that it has to be entertaining. Films alone don't impact youngsters. Today there is content available on multiple platforms and there are innumerable ways in which they can access content. Sometimes cinema reflects reality. So there are multiple factors at play here. As for love, each to his own and her own.

Q. You and Sonam Bajwa share a deeply charged, emotional dynamic on screen. How important was it for you to build a warm, trusting off-screen rapport with her for a story like this? And what did you most enjoy about working with her?

A: I like having a functional equation with all my co-stars as it benefits the film. Working with Sonam was a breeze. We vibed well and I had a fantastic time working with her.
