Recently, the veteran actor sat down with Kinnari Singh from Filmibeat for an exclusive chat in which he made shocking revelations about the controversy.

Talking about people's reaction to his remark, Ram Kapoor said, "I don't ever dwell or think about all these things. People will think whatever they want to think, and you have no control over it. When there is a situation that I know I will have to handle, my focus is to handle that in the best professional way possible, but anything other than that, I don't waste my time on at all."

He further dropped the truth bomb on whether it was a publicity stunt or not. Revealing the truth, Kapoor said, "When this happened, I realized that I had to handle it correctly. I have known them (the journalists to whom he was replying) for a very long time. So, I said, 'Guys, I want to make a statement.' So, they said 'yes' and gave me frontpage and all of that. I really thought about what I wanted to say, and I said it. I was very satisfied with my response, and I really meant it. When I did that, I was satisfied that I had done my part. But after that, I am not gonna spend a single moment looking at what people are saying because that is a waste of my time. Social media mei jo bhi ho raha hai, publicity stunt, yeh stunt, who stunt... jo bhi sochna hai socho, mera koi lena dena nahi hai usse."

Last month, during one of the promotional events for Mistry, Ram Kapoor, who was sitting with co-star Mona Singha nd JioHotstar executives, reportedly made some inappropriate comments laden with s*xual implications that allegedly left his team members uncomfortable.

A Mid-Day insider claimed, "The tone and content of his 'jokes' were unprofessional. He had back-to-back interviews that day. Referring to the work pressure at one point, he said he feels 'gang-raped'. This remark was made while one journalist was setting up her mic."

Later, after receiving intense backlash for his remark, the actor shared his side of the story. Talking to TOI, he stated,"Let me start by saying that everything I've been accused of saying, I have said it. So, the fact is that I am guilty as charged. But this is what I have to say in my defence. Whenever I'm with people I am comfortable with, I tend to become. My bindass self. Everyone who knows me and who has worked with me knows that is how I am and that I don't mean to be offensive."
