First Copy Turns One: Munawar Faruqui Celebrates A Career Milestone

A year ago, First Copy introduced audiences to a completely new side of Munawar Faruqui. The crime thriller, which premiered on June 20, 2025, marked the comedian and poet's official acting debut and quickly emerged as one of the most talked-about shows.

Set against the nostalgic backdrop of 1990s Mumbai, First Copy explored the world of VHS and video piracy that thrived beneath the glamour of Bollywood. Munawar stepped into the role of Arif, a sharp and ambitious young man determined to change his destiny.
