Forever OTT Release: Netflix is set to release Forever, its upcoming teen romance drama based on Judy Blume's 1975 novel of the same name, on May 8, 2025. Developed by showrunner and executive producer Mara Brock Akil, the series follows two young athletes, Keisha Clark and Justin Edwards, who reconnect as teenagers and fall deeply in love. Teen romance Forever set for global premiere

Lovie Simone plays Keisha, a confident and driven high school track star, while Michael Cooper Jr. takes on the role of Justin, a basketball hopeful with academic ambitions and a thoughtful nature. The cast also includes Karen Pittman and Wood Harris as Justin's parents, and Xosha Roquemore as Keisha's mother. Other supporting roles are filled by Barry Shabaka Henley, Niles Fitch, E'myri Crutchfield, and more.

Behind the camera, the series brings together a notable team of executive producers. In addition to Akil and Blume herself, names like Regina King, Susie Fitzgerald, and Anthony Hemingway are also on board. King, known for her work both in front of and behind the camera, directed episodes of the series.
