Gullak 5 EXCLUSIVE: Did Anant Joshi Feel 'Pressure' While Replacing Vaibhav Raj Gupta As Annu?

Gullak 5: It's difficult to keep calm as SonyLIV has released the first two episodes of Gullak season 5, taking the audience on a fun-filled ride. Just like the previous four installments, Gullak 5 offers humorous and relatable content, keeping the viewers engaged till the last minute. There has been a notable change in the fifth season as Anant Joshi has replaced OG Annu Mishra aka Vaibhav Raj Gupta.

In an exclusive conversation with Filmibeat Assistant Editor Abhishek Ranjit, Anant Joshi got candid about replacing Vaibhav, revealing if he felt any pressure while stepping into the well-established character.

Considering Vaibhav played the role of Annu bhaiya for four long seasons, it was obvious that any actor replacing him would have a challenge ahead. When asked if he faced any pressure, Anant Joshi told Filmibeat, "No, I didn't. The makers chalked out a beautiful storyline where Annu's character is facing the challenge of proving himself. I love the storyline and I immediately said yes when I was offered the series."

"I wanted the core of Annu to remain the same, and I worked on the character as per the requirement. Working with TVF is always a memorable experience as they are known for the quality of their projects. Instead of being nervous, I was excited to essay Annu Mishra in the new season," he added.

The charming actor, who has wooed the audience with his performance in 12th Fail and Maamla Legal Hai season 2, said that he watched Gullak with his family members and wished to be a part of the show.
