Saqib Saleem's journey to a role in the star-studded film Race 3 is a fascinating tale of unexpected calls and opportunities. He recounted, "I didn't even think that Salman Khan knew me, I had come from Delhi and had done 2-3 small-scale films. One night I was at a party, and my phone was on silent. Huma came to me and asked why I wasn't answering calls. She informed me that Salman Khan was calling me. I was surprised and clueless. I called back and he asked me to go to Ramesh Ji and listen to the script and tell him my thoughts. I was like, what is there to check? I am doing the film, you called me, so I am doing it." This anecdote highlights the unpredictability and excitement that often come with a career in the film industry.
During filming near Abu Dhabi, an incident showcased Salman Khan's influence and the unexpected turns a day on set can take. Saqib recalled, "So now that film had happened, we were shooting at a place near Abu Dhabi. There was nothing, just dessert. But suddenly Salman Bhai turned towards me and asked me if I would like to have Sushi. I casually said, yahan kahan Sushi. But when we broke for lunch, I got to know that there was a guy who went to Abu Dhabi, 2 hours away from where we were shooting to get Sushi. So, now, we can shoot only once he comes back with Sushi. We were all sitting, waiting for it. And that day was huge from a shoot point of view, he had a chopper, there was an army tanker. All of them were parked idle because Sushi nhi aayi. We shot only after it came and we had it." This memorable story from the Race 3 set illustrates the blend of humor and unpredictability that characterizes life in the film industry.
