The story revolves around Mizuki, a Japanese-American track-and-field athlete. She transfers to an all-boys high school in Japan to be near her idol, high jumper Izumi Sano. Disguised as a boy, Mizuki navigates life as Sano's roommate while keeping her secret from classmates and the school nurse. This intriguing setup challenges those around her to reconsider their own identities.

The anime's production team boasts notable talents. Hisaya Nakajo, creator of "To You in Full Bloom," provides the original story. Natsuki Takemura directs with Shigeru Ueda assisting.
