Hisaab Barabar Primiere Date: "A Story That Raises Important Questions" on ZEE5 on January 24

ZEE5 is set to kick off the new year with a gripping thriller, Hisaab Barabar, starring Neil Nitin Mukesh and R. Madhavan. Directed by the acclaimed Ashwini Dhir, the film blends drama, thriller, and social commentary, shedding light on financial accountability, systemic corruption, and its human impact. The much-anticipated film is slated for release on January 24, 2025, in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.

Neil Nitin Mukesh, who plays the eccentric and morally ambiguous Mickey Mehta, hopes the film leaves an impact on viewers. "I hope viewers take away a sense of awareness and responsibility. The film highlights the importance of financial accountability and the need to be vigilant against corruption. I also hope that viewers are entertained and engaged by the story and the characters. More importantly, I hope they like Mickey Mehta's madness."

But again, Hisaab Barabar also raises important questions about the system and the role of individuals in perpetuating corruption. Now that is something to look out for."

With the film being released in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, Mukesh believes it will attract a wider audience. "In the day and age of OTT and digital platforms, we have merged the lines of cinema and storytelling across borders. Language is no longer a barrier. Releasing the film in multiple languages is a great way to reach a wider audience. It's a smart move, especially in a country like India, where there are so many different languages and cultures. R. Madhavan is a superstar across all languages, and as an actor, I've done multiple blockbuster films in Tamil and Telugu myself. I have a loyal fan base there too, who are waiting for my next. I believe that films should be accessible to as many people as possible, regardless of their language or cultural background, as long as you have the power to communicate an emotion that connects all."
