Ikka First Review: Sunny-Akshaye's Courtroom Drama Is Gripping & Powerful With Nail-Bitting Twists
Ikka First Review: Sunny Deol is on a roll this year. After dishing out major nostalgia vibes and winning millions of hearts with his performance in Border 2, he is coming up with another powerful project. We are talking about Ikka which is a Netflix film and is touted to be a legal thriller. Directed and produced by Siddharth P. Malhotra, Ikka comes with a stellar cast of Sunny Deol, Akshaye Khanna, Dia Mirza, Tillotama Shome, and Sanjeeda Sheikh. Needless to say, it has been one of the most talked about Netflix projects so far.

To note, Ikka will feature Sunny Deol playing the role of a lawyer onscreen after 33 years. He was seen as a lawyer in the 1993 release Damini which emerged as a blockbuster hit back then. For the uninitiated, Ikka revolves around a lawyer Arjun Mehra (played by Sunny Deol) who is referred to as the Ikka the in the legal field for his track record. His life takes an unexpected turn after he is forced to defence Shauryaman Gaur (played by Akshaye Khanna), a murder suspect and this trial is going to cost Arjun several things. As Ikka grabbed eyeballs with its intriguing trailer, we have got our hands on the first review of the movie.

In a post shared by actor turned critic Kuldeep Gadhi, 'Ikka is a powerful courtroom thriller that combines suspense, emotion, and strong performances'. He emphasised the Ikka, which has a runtime of 2 Hours 19 Minutes, is a thought provoking film which will keep you hooked from beginning to the end. Giving Ikka a rating of 4.5 stars, Kuldeep Gadhvi wrote, "Netflix's Ikka is a powerful courtroom thriller that combines suspense, emotion, and strong performances. The courtroom proceedings are layered with psychological tension, making every revelation impactful. #SunnyDeol delivers one of his most mature and restrained performances in recent years. He commands every courtroom scene with authority, emotion, and conviction. #AkshayeKhanna is phenomenal. His screen presence, dialogue delivery, and intensity elevate every scene he appears in. A standout performance".
Furthermore, Gadhvi was all praises for the Siddharth P Malhotra's direction and asserted that the climax featuring the final act is quite intriguing and emotional. The pacing remains tight, the suspense is maintained throughout, and the emotional stakes continue to rise until the final act.
