Mohrey EXCL: Amitt K Singh On How Playing ‘Complex’ Reza Taught Him Important Life Skill, “Buried Emotions…”
Mohrey Exclusive: Mohrey, which was released on Amazon MX Player on December 6, has been garnering positive reviews from the audience on the intriguing plot and ensemble cast. One of the characters, who has already won the hearts of many with his portrayal in the series, is Reza, played by Amitt K Singh. Amitt, who portrayed the enigmatic yet complex character, who is driven by ambition followed by ruthless tactics that make him a force to be reckoned with.
Amitt K Singh On Playing 'Complex' Character Reza & How It Taught Him An Important Skill
Talking about playing a character like this, Amitt K Singh revealed, "Portraying this character has definitely taught me 'let go' of control, which is an extremely important skill to have as an actor."
Revealing the mantra of playing such a 'complex' character, Amitt revealed, "To perform a complex character we need to trigger some hidden, buried emotions or memories to shape the character. It's also possible that the emotions and memories are inspired by some second hand experiences like seeing someone with similar characteristics."
However, the actor further revealed when asked if portraying Reza affected him as a person, he opened up, "It doesn't affect my personal life as I'm very much living in the moment , kind of an actor and when the moment passes I get back to normal self."
Amitt has also revealed that he doesn't possess any of the traits and how he is as a person in real life, which is completely opposite to his character, "We all are inbuilt with different emotions and experiences and that's our uniqueness. In personal life I'm more calmer and organised person, which is completely opposite to the Reza," he added.

On the work front, Amitt K Singh is gearing up for Wahham, which is based on a true story, and it is set to release next year. In the project, he is playing a CBI officer along with Vijay Raaz. He has also been a part of an international film 'Courage' where he is playing a Doctor living in the United States, which is in post production stage currently.
