Moonwalk OTT release date: Actor Samir Kochhar, who plays the quirky Maddy Sharma in JioCinema Premium's upcoming series Moonwalk, is all pumped up as he plays a different role in new project. The handsome hunk opened up about the comedy of portraying such a unique character.

WHAT SAMIR KOCCHAR SAID ABOUT HIS MOONWALK CHARACTER?

This laugh-out-loud heist comedy revolves around two rival thieves; Maddy Sharma from Delhi and Tarik Pandey from Rampur who are battling it out for a rare moonrock and the affection of Chandni Lakhani. Packed with wild twists, outrageous schemes, and plenty of heart, the series promises to leave audiences in splits. The series is directed by Ajay Bhuyan and produced by Jyoti Deshpande (Jio Studios) and Ajay G. Rai (Jar Pictures).

In an exclusive conversation with Filmibeat, the Bade Achhe Lagte Hain star spilled the beans about his role in Moonwalk.

While talking about his character, Samir shared, "Maddy is one of the most unpredictable and chaotic personalities I've ever portrayed. He firmly believes he's not a thief, despite being neck-deep in heists. That self-delusion is where the comedy lives. It's a riot watching him try to explain his way out of situations where his actions clearly say otherwise."

Samir further added, "Maddy's contradictions make him hilarious and lovable, and portraying those layers was both a challenge and a joy. It's the kind of role that lets you have fun while keeping the audience hooked."

Moonwalk, which promises to be the fresh blend of romance, comedy and crime, will be available for streaming exclusively on JioCinema Premium from 20th December. The first episode is expected to be released around midnight on JioCinema.
