Neel Samarthh On Current Wave On Boldness In OTT

Actor Neel Samarthh, who is currently seen in Sabse Bada Rupaiya on Atrangii, will soon be seen in the web series Rose Garden opened up about the current wave of boldness in Bollywood, OTT, and television. Sharing his honest thoughts, Neel says,"Yes, I've noticed that too. Boldness has definitely become more common across platforms. I think it's happening because audiences today are more open-minded and curious about real and raw stories. But at the same time, I feel boldness should never be forced. It should make sense to the story and not just be there for attention. Balance is important."When asked about how content and society reflect each other, the actor believes both influence one another. He shares,

"What we watch is often a mirror of what's happening in real life. At the same time, content also influences society. A good character or a strong message in a film can inspire people to think or change something in their life."
He adds, "So, both go hand in hand - society inspires stories, and stories can shape society."Neel also spoke about the increased portrayal of real-life problems like relationship issues, divorce, and family conflicts.
"It feels like everything is out in the open now," he says.
"It's good to talk about real issues, because these are things people actually go through. But too much exposure to drama might make us forget the importance of peace. Showing healing is just as important as showing the problems."Talking about self-censorship, Neel believes creators have a responsibility.
"Self-censorship is smart," he says.
"Not everything has to be bold or shocking. If we're responsible with what we show, it helps everyone - especially young people."On bold scenes, Neel is clear about his limits.
"I'm okay with doing bold scenes if they are part of the story. Comfort and trust matter to me. I won't do something just for the sake of it."
