Netflix expands its collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism to promote India as a travel destination. The two promotional videos highlight India’s culture, festivals and cuisine, integrating Indian destinations into Netflix narratives to broaden global awareness.
Netflix deepened its link with India tourism as the platform unveiled new travel content at ITB Berlin. Two promotional videos, "India's Vibrant Culture, Festivals and Heritage" and "Flavours of India", were presented on the global tourism stage. The launch was led by Shri Gajendra Shekhawat, Hon'ble Minister for Culture & Tourism, highlighting official support.

The showcase builds on Netflix's recent partnership with the Ministry of Tourism, focused on shared objectives. The series underlines how travel destinations are woven into Netflix India's original narratives. Creative teams place cities, landscapes and cultural spots within storylines. This approach supports tourism promotion and aims to strengthen cultural links with worldwide viewers.
India tourism and Netflix travel destinations
Developed with Incredible India, the new videos highlight India's scale and variety for travellers. They feature cuisine, festivals, adventure tourism, nature and wildlife, drawn from ten years of Netflix films and series. These are the first releases in a planned set of ten short promotional pieces under the partnership.
| Video title | Primary focus |
|---|---|
| India's Vibrant Culture, Festivals and Heritage | Cultural landmarks, celebrations, historical heritage |
| Flavours of India | Regional food, local ingredients, culinary experiences |
Through this initiative, Netflix and Incredible India use familiar scenes to present Indian destinations afresh. Locations seen in popular stories are positioned as real travel options for audiences. The campaign aims to make tourism messaging more relatable, showing how narrative content can encourage viewers to explore India on the ground.
