Pyramid Exclusive: Best known for his stints in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and Bigg Boss 9, actor Rohan Mehra is finally back to entertain fans with his new web show titled Pyramid. Also featuring Helly Shah and Harshad Arora in important characters, the crime thriller premiered recently on Hungama OTT app and has been fetching a favourable response from viewers.

For those unaware, Pyramid delves into the mysterious murder of a cryptocurrency company's CEO, unraveling a complex web of secrets and danger that entangles its characters. Rohan Mehra essays the main role of Mohit, a hacker. In an exclusive chat with Filmibeat, the talented actor opened up about his debut in the crime thriller genre with the show, his experience, working with Helly Shah, and more.

ROHAN MEHRA SHARES INSIGHTS ABOUT HIS ROLE IN PYRAMID

Revealing details about his character and how he prepared for the role of a hacker in Pyramid, Rohan Mehra stated, "See, as an actor, I always prefer doing things that are a bit different. Like you said, it's a crime thriller, something unique. Before this, I had done horror-comedy, comedy, and tried various genres, but I hadn't done a thriller like this. When this was offered to me, I really liked it. Plus, Helly (Shah) was also part of it, and she's been a friend of mine. When I found out she was cast opposite me, it made me even more comfortable. Overall, it was a great experience. Of course, when I started preparing for the role, I focused on understanding the lingo, how hackers carry themselves, their attitudes, and their tech-savvy look. Additionally, the story progresses from the perspective of my relationship with Vrinda (Helly), which is an important aspect of the narrative."

Pyramid is Rohan's first collaboration with friend Helly Shah and their onscreen pairing has been getting a positive feedback so far. Sharing his experience of shooting in Manali with Helly Shah, the actor added, "I had an amazing time during the schedule in Manali. I absolutely love going on work trips, and Manali is such a beautiful place. I had been there before, but this time we explored it in a completely different way since we were there for the shoot. I truly fell in love with the place and its vibe. Helly already knew me from before, but during this show, we became even better friends because this was the first time we worked together. We bonded really well, especially since 95 percent of my scenes were with her. I didn't have any scenes with Harshad, but since we were in Manali together, we traveled and spent time as a group, which was great."

On being asked about what makes Pyramid stand out in the crime-thriller genre, Rohan further stated, "This stands out because, as you mentioned, it's a crime-thriller with a murder mystery, and it also includes a romantic angle between my character and Vrinda. It's an intriguing blend of thriller and romance. As viewers start watching, the story will keep unfolding, maintaining their interest throughout. The rest will make complete sense once you watch it."

Talking about his upcoming projects, the actor revealed he has a film coming up with Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt. "I have several music albums coming up, featuring some amazing actors. Additionally, one of my films is set to release in April. It stars Sanjay Dutt and Gulshan Grover, and I'm playing one of the leads. Right now, I'm eagerly waiting for its release. We're just waiting for some dates from Sanjay Dutt, and once that's sorted, everything is ready," he concluded.
