Ronit Ashra On Audience Reactions To Swipe Crime: I Must Have Done Something Right If I Got Under Someone’s...

Ronit Ashra, the popular content creator-turned-actor, is basking in the overwhelming love and support he has received for his performance in Swipe Crime. The young entertainer, known for his impeccable comic timing and relatable content, has now ventured into acting, and the response has been nothing short of phenomenal.
"I was prepared for some negative comments, but honestly, there's been hardly any hate," Ronit shares, sounding pleasantly surprised. "One response that really stood out to me was from a guy who was actually irritated with my character! I know it sounds weird, but it was kind of funny and amusing to read. I was like, 'Wow, I must have done something right if I can get under someone's skin like that!'"
Beyond the occasional annoyance his character may have sparked, Ronit has mostly been showered with love. "I've just been called 'cute' a lot," he laughs. "I'm not complaining or anything, but it's been really sweet to see how people have responded to my character."
Despite the praise, Ronit hasn't yet been addressed by his character's name in public. However, his friends have been having fun at his expense. "They love to tease me with it! But seriously, it's amazing to hear from mutual friends who have seen the show. They'll message me saying they're excited to watch it or that they've already seen it and loved it. It's surreal to think that people I know are watching me on screen!"
One of the most touching moments for Ronit came from someone he deeply admires-his acting senior from college. "He reached out and said he was proud of everything I've accomplished. But what really touched me was when he said that considering my age and experience, the work I'd done had made him really happy. Coming from someone I look up to and respect, that meant the world to me. It was a really heartfelt moment."
When reminiscing about the shoot, Ronit recalls an unforgettable memory-his official wrap-up moment. "Our director wrote a note of our names as 'RNP' (Raunak, Nikhil, Pratyush) wrap-up, and I still have it as a keepsake." But the real magic hit him when he finally saw the finished product on the big screen. "Sitting in that movie theater, watching what we had created... it just lit a fire within me to keep pushing forward and doing what I love."
Of course, the experience wasn't just about the work-it was about the bonds and the fun that came with it. "I was like a Casanova, flirting with all the girls," he jokes. "We'd have these epic late-night pizza and chai sessions, and when we were staying at the hotel, we'd play games in the lobby until the early hours. It was just this incredible, exciting journey that I'll always treasure."
With Swipe Crime marking his acting debut, Ronit Ashra has proven that his talent extends far beyond social media. His infectious charm and natural screen presence have undoubtedly left an impression, and if this is just the beginning, the future looks bright for this rising star.
