In an exclusive conversation with Filmibeat Chief Copy Editor Abhishek Ranjit, Divyenndu Sharma spilled the beans about his character, revealing what attracted him towards Saali Mohabbat. He bared his heart out as he spoke about working with Tisca Chopra, Radhika Apte, sharing how the atmosphere was on the sets of the film.

The Story Drew Me Towards Saali Mohabbat

Having played diverse roles throughout his career, Divyenddu Sharma is clear in his approach when it comes to accepting characters. When we asked him if he took his 'own sweet time' in giving his approval for Saali Mohabbat, the Mirzapur star quipped, "I was immediately convinced that I wanted to play Ratan Pandit. I could relate to my character because he is simple and yet yearns to achieve success. It was the story that attracted me towards Saali Mohabbat, and I wanted to do it. Boring characters and lacklustreless story don't excite me."

"I have played flawed characters with grey shades. Playing Ratan Pandit gave me an opportunity to experiment as I donned the hat of a cop. I even incorporated certain things, including wearing a yellow, to prep up for my role and enhance its look on the screen," he added.

Working With Radhika Apte, Tisca Chopra Was Bliss

"I had a blast shooting for Saali Mohabbat with Radhika Apte, Anurag Kashyap and other talented actors. The entire cast and crew worked hard to deliver a solid product. When you have artists who known their craft well, it becomes easier to deliver on-screen. Anurag Kashyap was indeed a surprise package as we have always known him as a director," Divyendu said.

"It was a bliss working with Tisca Chopra (who makes her directorial debut). While she was nervous, she knew what she wanted from the actors and crew. I really appreciate how she worked on the characters with the actors and ensured that everything was in place," the Pyaar Ka Punchnama actor said when asked about Tisca Chopra.
