EXCLUSIVE! Sanduk Actor Sharib Hashmi Drops MAJOR Update On The Family Man S3; Talks About Manoj Bajpayee

Recently, we got the one-of-a-kind opportunity to engage in an exclusive conversation with the incredibly talented actor Sharib Hashmi where he shared a major update on the highly-anticipated The Family Man Season 3. While the actor gears up for two back-to-back releases this week, 'The Diplomat' on March 14 in theatres and 'Sanduk' on March 15 on Waves OTT, Hashmi also credited Manoj Bajpayee for the effortless onscreen dynamics between JK and Srikant Tiwari.

For those uninitiated, Sharib Hashmi's upcoming film 'Sanduk' sets the premise for an intriguing mystery-thriller about three strangers trying to find a hidden 'sanduk' (treasure chest), creating a web of suspense, secrets and twists. The film is all set to stream on Waves OTT on March 15, 2025.

Here are few excerpts from the interview:

1) From comedy to drama, you have done it all. What was that one thing about 'Sanduk' that made you say yes to this film?

First of all, the script is very unique. I've never read a script like this. It's a very unique story. I have a double role in this film so, it was a different thing for me to perform. Although, I had done it before but the two characters were in a different time zone. Here, you will see both the double roles together. And then, it was the story. When I met the director Siddharth Chandakya for the first time, I was very impressed. He is a very young director. It was his first film but there was a lot of clarity and preparation. The script was written by him. He was so involved and well prepared I knew he'd do a good job. He exceeded my expectations and I would like to work with him again. We enjoyed a lot during the shoot.

2) Your onscreen camaraderie with Manoj Bajpayee has a separate fan base. It's pretty evident that both of share a close bond off screen as well. How did you crack that perfect chemistry with him on set?

A relationship can not be one-sided. If you want to succeed in your relationship, you will have to make efforts on both sides and only then, a relationship can turn out to be successful. I will give credits to Manoj sir because despite being such a senior, established and a legendary actor, he's always made me comfortable. He treated me like a friend, gave me freedom and a lot of love and respect. So, that relationship and that chemistry developed on its own both on and off screen. There are times when you meet someone for the first time and feel instantly connected with them. That's what exactly happened with Manoj sir It's a blessing for me.

To work with Manoj Bajpayee and be able to spend so much time with him, receive his love, and affection... I consider myself very lucky. Now, I want people to cast both of us together in different roles. I wish to play a negative role against him. I hope that happens soon.

3) It's time for the most-searched question at the moment, when can we expect JK-Srikant Tiwari back on screens? Any update on The Family Man Season 3 release date?

It will take some time for The Family Man Season 3 to release. We have completed the shoot and right now, it's in the post-production stage. So, it will take some time. Trust me when I say this... if someone who's waiting for season 3 the most, it will be me. I am eagerly waiting for the audience's response. A lot of things are different in this season. Places are different, mission is different, people are different. There are some new faces in the cast. The scale of season 3 is bigger. We got a lot of love for the first season and in season 2, the love got doubled. After watching season 3, I am sure the love will be triple the amount.
