South India’s Biggest Stars Come Together For JioHotstar’s Grand Showcase

South India witnessed a night unlike any other as JioHotstar brought together the biggest names from Kollywood, Mollywood, Sandalwood, and Tollywood for a spectacular celebration of stories and stardom. JioHotstar: South Unbound marked the platform's most ambitious content reveal yet, with 25 new titles across originals, films, and non-fiction.

The evening in Chennai sparkled with the kind of star power rarely seen in one place. Legendary icon Kamal Haasan, along with superstars Mohanlal, Nagarjuna, and Vijay Sethupathi, led a dazzling lineup of actors and creators who gathered to celebrate the strength and diversity of South Indian entertainment. The event drew acclaimed performers including Shobana, Asif Ali, Ravi Mohan, Nivin Pauly, Priyamani, Aju Varghese, Vineeth, Aishwarya Rajesh, and GV Prakash, each adding their own energy to the celebration.

Creative powerhouses Vignesh Sivan, Jeethu Joseph, Mari Selvaraj, Pa. Ranjith, and H. Vinoth were also in attendance, underlining the growing influence of South cinema and storytelling on audiences across the country.

JioHotstar's new slate features returning fan favourites like Kerala Crime Files S3, Save The Tigers S3, Heartbeat S3, and The Good Wife S2. The platform also announced an exciting lineup of fresh originals such as Vishakha, Kaattaan, Pharma, Cousins And Kalyanams, Moodu Lantharlu, LBW - Love Beyond Wicket, Resort, Secret Stories: ROSLIN, Lingam, and Vikram On Duty. The film slate included new titles like Lucky The Superstar and Kenatha Kaanom, along with a stronger unscripted lineup featuring the Bigg Boss universe, Comedy Cooks, Mad for Each Other, Second Love, and the Telugu debut of Roadies.

The night grew even more significant with the presence of the Hon'ble Deputy Chief Minister Thiru Udhayanidhi Stalin, Hon'ble Minister Thiru M.P. Saminathan, and senior leadership from JioHotstar - Kevin Vaz, CEO - Entertainment, JioStar; Sushant Sreeram, Head - SVOD & Chief Marketing Officer, JioStar; and Krishnan Kutty, Head - Entertainment (South).

A key highlight was JioHotstar signing a Letter of Intent with the Government of Tamil Nadu, aimed at supporting the region's creative economy and nurturing South India's thriving storytelling landscape.
