The Traitors | Nikita Luther Reveals Why She Almost Said No To The Prime Video Show: Wasn’t Ready To Expose...
Nikita Luther, a poker champion, shares insights on her unexpected elimination and comeback in The Traitors. She discusses the show's dynamics and her commitment to maintaining integrity.

Nikita Luther, a celebrated poker champion, has ventured into reality TV with The Traitors, a strategic game show on Prime Video hosted by Karan Johar. As the series progresses, fans are witnessing a new side of Nikita. She shared insights about her unexpected elimination, surprising comeback, and thoughts on fellow contestant Elnaaz Norouzi.
Reflecting on her elimination, Nikita mentioned she was unaware of her return. The production team moved her to another hotel without phone access or updates. "They were not letting me go home… after one or one and a half days, I figured that I might be coming back. And it happened," she revealed.
Unexpected Twists and Turns
When asked about her reappearance and its impact on the contestants, Nikita offered an intriguing spoiler. "They gave me an advantage that I can't be voted out or I can't be killed by the traitors. I give you a small spoiler: this didn't happen with anyone else at any point. I get this advantage throughout the season," she stated.
Nikita hinted at more surprises involving Elnaaz. "I can't reveal a spoiler, but there is one big thing that will happen again, only with me. I'm excited for the audience to watch that unfold. There will be another thing that happens in relation to Elnaaz," she teased.
Maintaining Integrity On Screen
Despite being offered a chance to return, Nikita had reservations about reality TV's nature. "The way other reality shows are, they are basically trashy... I'm not going to expose myself to people abusing you on camera... I'm a very like self-respecting person," she expressed.
She emphasized keeping her dignity intact while participating in the show. "I like my integrity intact. I didn't want to be abused and on screen by people I don't know... There will be drama, but within the rules of the game. It won't be dirty drama," she explained.
Behind-the-Scenes Challenges
Nikita shared with Pinkvilla about moments during filming when tensions rose among contestants. Although largely unscripted, there were times when producers had to intervene due to escalating situations. "Once or twice while filming the show, things started getting out of hand... but the only time that they stepped in was when things were getting out of hand," she said.
A particular incident involved younger contestants arguing intensely, prompting intervention from the team. "They told us it's not a show to fight... They made it clear that they won't be airing any shouting, screaming or abusive footage," Nikita added.
The Traitors premiered on June 12 and continues captivating audiences with suspenseful episodes. With Nikita's return adding more unpredictability to the game, viewers can expect further twists as events unfold.
