Headlined by Rajkummar Rao and Sanya Malhotra, Toaster follows the chaotic life of a married couple caught in an unusually hilarious situation. At the heart of the story is Ramakant, played by Rao, a tight-fisted man whose obsession with money leads him down a bizarre path.
The plot kicks off when a wedding he had attended gets called off, prompting Ramakant to go to absurd lengths to reclaim the toaster he had gifted and end up becoming the centre of a murder. What follows is a series of quirky, laugh-out-loud moments driven by his relentless mission and the madness it creates around him.
The film also features a strong supporting cast including Abhishek Banerjee, Farah Khan and Archana Puran Singh. Interestingly, Toaster also marks the debut production venture of Rao and Patralekhaa under their banner KAMPA Films, making it a special project both on and off screen.
