"It was an interesting challenge. You never think that playing the President would inform your choices so much. I found myself in so many situations saying, 'I can't do that-I'm the President.' There's a certain behavior you must maintain while still being human-a mom, a wife, a person with fragility and emotions."

Davis also highlighted how her character brings a unique blend of intelligence, empathy, and strength to the presidency.

"Because she's a woman, there's a beautiful alchemy of intelligence, empathy, and brawn. She knows when to use her strength without hesitation, yet she still takes the higher road, protecting those in need. It's a combination I don't always see in movies led by men."
