Ajaz Khan and the makers of House Arrest faced criticism for alleged objectionable content in their show. As clips from the show went viral, netizens pointed out that the host asked contestants to 'demonstrate s*x positions'. What followed was a notice from NCW, who commissioned the former Bigg Boss contestant to appear before them.
Social media users expressed their displeasure over the vulgar content, stating that the host crossed the line by asking a female contestant about 's*x positions'. Filmibeat exclusively reported that the streaming platform immediately removed all the episodes after facing criticism from all corners. The episodes are no longer available on Ullu app.
"House Arrest could have proved to be a successful affair like Bigg Boss but it opted for a 'bold' path to generate viewership. The show would have worked even without the sleezy nature and gimmick. When the first promo was released, fans compared House Arrest to Bigg Boss. However, the show didn't turn out to be. While it managed to grab eyeballs, the makers might have to pay a price. As the show and the makers faced flak, Muskaan Agarwal defended them, calling the outrage 'unfair'. Wondering who is Muskan Agarwal? According to her Instagram profile, she is an 'actor, influencer and fashion model'. She has worked in a few adult web series, as per media reports.
The actress enjoys a significant fan following on Instagram as she has close to 9.6 lakh followers on the photo-video-sharing platform. Muskan participated in House Arrest, where she grabbed eyeballs with her fiery replies to her co-contestants.
According to Bollywood couch, she said that 'nothing unethical was shown'. She mentioned that Ullu app caters to adults and the 'content was within the category'. Defending the show, Muskan Agarwal claimed that no body part was shown or expose in the show.
Muskaan added that the female contestants were clearly instructed to wear skin-colour garments and skin-coloured cycling shorts.
When asked about removing the show, she expressed her disappointment. "I am unhappy as the show was being a paywall- the users had to pay a subscription fee to watch it. People have targeted House Arrest even when other 'explicit content' was available on other platforms," she said in a statement as quoted as saying by Bollywood Couch.

Muskan came to Ajaz Khan's defence, pointing out that the contestants were informed beforehand about the 'bold' nature of the tasks. She claimed that safety measures were followed.
"There are far worse things floating on social media for free. Even in real life, during games like truth or dare, people take up bold challenges. Where is the outrage then," Muskaan told the website.
