The series will consist of eight episodes, released in a staggered format, with Episodes 1 and 2 premiering on February 19, followed by Episodes 3 and 4 on February 26. Episodes 5 and 6 will be available on March 5, while the final two episodes, 7 and 8, will conclude the series on March 12, 2025.

Win or Lose explores the interconnected journeys of eight characters as they gear up for their highly anticipated championship softball game. Through a blend of humor, deep emotions, and distinct animation styles, the series offers a glimpse into the experiences of various individuals, from nervous young players and overprotective parents to even a love-struck umpire.

The voice cast boasts an impressive lineup, featuring Will Forte, Ian Chen, Izaac Wang, Jo Firestone, Milan Ray, Josh Thomson, Erin Keif, Rosie Foss, Rosa Salazar, Chanel Stewart, Dorien Watson, Lil Rel Howery, Flula Borg, Kyliegh Curran, Jaylin Fletcher, Tom Law, Beck Nolan, Orion Tran, and Rhea Seehorn.

The project has been in development since the launch of Disney+, with an official announcement made during Disney's Investor Day in December 2020. Inspired by conversations between Hobson and Yates during their work on Toy Story 4 (2019), the duo noticed how they perceived the same events differently-an idea that became the foundation for Win or Lose. The series is produced by David Lally, Pete Docter, Andrew Stanton, and Lindsey Collins, with Brendan Beesley, Brandon Kern, and Tom Zach serving as heads of animation. Win or Lose also features an original musical score by acclaimed composer Ramin Djawadi.
