Wonder Man OTT Release: Marvel fans are set to welcome the next addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe with the upcoming miniseries Wonder Man, starring Yahya Abdul-Mateen II. The show, created by Destin Daniel Cretton and Andrew Guest for Disney+, is scheduled to premiere on January 27, 2026, and is reported to be available in India on JioHotstar the same day. This series marks the 17th television project in the MCU and will be released under Marvel Studios' "Marvel Spotlight" banner as part of Phase Six of the franchise.

Wonder Man centers on Simon Williams, played by Abdul-Mateen, an aspiring actor who also possesses superpowers. The plot follows Williams as he competes for the lead role in a fictional remake of the Wonder Man superhero film, alongside the character Trevor Slattery, portrayed by Ben Kingsley. Slattery is a former actor with a complicated past involving the Mandarin and the Ten Rings organization, and he brings his own history to the series' storyline.

Eight-Episode Series with Star-Studded Cast

The series will consist of eight episodes, blending elements of comedy with the familiar superhero framework of the MCU. In addition to Abdul-Mateen and Kingsley, the cast includes Arian Moayed as DODC agent P. Cleary, X Mayo, Zlatko Burić as reclusive director Von Kovak, Olivia Thirlby, and Byron Bowers. Other notable actors joining include Ed Harris as Simon's agent Neal Saroyan and Demetrius Grosse as Simon's brother, Eric Williams, also known as the Grim Reaper.

Production took place in Los Angeles, California, with cinematography led by Brett Pawlak and Armando Salas, and editing handled by Gina Sansom. The series is produced jointly by Marvel Television, Family Owned, and Onyx Collective, with executive producers including Kevin Feige, Stephen Broussard, Jonathan Schwartz, Brad Winderbaum, Destin Daniel Cretton, and Andrew Guest.

With its blend of a meta-Hollywood storyline and superhero action, Wonder Man is expected to offer a fresh perspective on the MCU's expanding universe. Fans can stream all episodes from the premiere date on Disney+ globally and, reportedly, on JioHotstar in India.
