Kavya Gowda and her husband Somasekhar claimed they were attacked during the altercation. It is alleged that a sharp object was used during the clash, resulting in injuries to Somasekhar.

Both Kavya and her husband were later admitted to a private hospital for treatment. Medical sources have indicated that while the injuries were serious, Somasekhar’s condition is stable.

A formal complaint was filed by Kavya Gowda’s sister, Bhavya Gowda, following the incident. Based on this, the police registered a case against multiple family members, including allegations of assault, criminal intimidation, and verbal abuse. Kavya Gowda has also alleged that she was subjected to grave threats during the altercation, adding to the seriousness of the case.

The actress reportedly told authorities that professional jealousy and ongoing disputes related to property or family arrangements may have contributed to the escalation.

In response, a counter-complaint has been lodged by Prema and her relatives, accusing Kavya Gowda and her family of instigating the conflict. In her statement, Prema claimed she was asked to vacate the house and later assaulted during the confrontation. She further alleged that the dispute turned physical when additional family members arrived at the residence later that evening.

Police have confirmed that both complaints have been registered and will be investigated impartially.

Officials from the Ramamurthy Nagar police station stated that statements from all parties are being recorded, and medical reports along with any available CCTV footage will be examined. Authorities have emphasised that further action will be taken only after verifying evidence from both sides.

Kavya Gowda, a familiar face on Kannada television known for her role in Radha Ramana, has not made any further public statements beyond cooperating with the investigation.
