Filmmaker Aditya Dhar has taken social media by storm with a candid and emotional post about the action team behind Dhurandhar. Sharing insights on Instagram, Dhar praised his crew for turning seemingly impossible ideas into reality, calling their work the backbone of the film’s high-octane storytelling.
Dhar described his creative process as walking a fine line between ambition and madness. From conceptualizing extreme sequences to executing them safely, the director admitted that many ideas sounded “ridiculous” even to him–but his team never hesitated to take them on.
Among the wild concepts were scenes involving a man trapped in an industrial pressure cooker, high-speed dragging sequences, and complex stunt setups with dozens of performers. These weren’t just cinematic moments–they were logistical challenges that required precision planning and fearless execution.
One of the most striking revelations was the scale of manpower involved. Dhar shared that over 400 stunt performers were used during the shoot–so many that at one point, the team reportedly ran out of available stunt artists in Mumbai. This staggering number highlights the film’s unprecedented scale in Indian cinema.
Dhar credited key action experts including Aejaz Gulab, Sea Young Oh, Yannick Ben, Ramazan Bulut, and Vishal Tyagi. Each brought a unique strength–from choreographing intense climaxes to designing controlled chaos in large-scale action sequences like gang wars and massacres.
Despite the extreme nature of the stunts, Dhar emphasized that safety was never compromised. Mock sets, repeated rehearsals, and detailed planning ensured that every sequence was executed with precision.
