Annually, a single woman is chosen to serve as the commandant for conducting a special ritual at this temple. This year, the honor has been bestowed upon actress Khushbu. It's worth mentioning that the appointed individual is responsible for covering the expenses associated with the required materials for the ceremony during their tenure.

There is a special puja called Nari Puja in this temple. According to this, the Namboothiris in this temple choose a woman every year in the name of God's order and perform Naripuja to that woman.

Posting these photos on her Instagram page, Khushboo posted, "Blessed by God. I got an invitation to perform Nari Puja at Thrissur Vishnumaya Temple. It's my privilege. Certain people are selected for this and it is believed that God chooses that person."
