NT Rama Rao: Over the course of three terms, NTR held the position of Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh for a total of seven years. In the 1983 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly election, his party, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), achieved a resounding victory by securing an absolute majority.
