Malayalam actor Kollam Sudhi passes away at 39 in a tragic car accident, his journey of struggles ends abruptly

Malayalam actor and mimicry star Kollam Sudhi, unfortunately, passed in a tragic car accident on Monday morning around 4:30 am. According to several reports he was returning from a shoot with other mimicry artists when his car collided head-on with a truck. They were rushed to a nearby hospital, but sadly Kollam Sudhi did not survive, the other three are undergoing treatment right now. It is a sad day for the Mollywood film industry and several stars have expressed their sadness. Kollam Sudhi came from a very humble background and struggled his way up.

In an interview with Vanitha in 2020 he opened up about his struggles which was rather shocking for everyone to hear as he was a mimicry artist who made people laugh. He opened up about the hardships he faced to be where he was in life.

He made his debut with ‘Chennai Koottam’. Some of the most notable characters that he played were in Kattapanayile Rithwik Roshan', 'Kuttanadan Marpappa', 'Theetta Rappai', 'Vakathirivu', 'An International Local Story and many other.

He then was a part of Comedy Stars but it was Mazhavil Manorama’s ‘Comedy Festival’ that actually made him popular.

He also mentioned that during his early stages in life, he used to mimic Suresh Gopy and then later started mimicking Jagadish.

Kollam Sudhi came from very humble roots and started his mimicry journey when he was 16 years old. It was his singing that made way for his mimicry.

Sudhi also mentioned that before he married his second wife Renu, he used to take his son Rahul to his stage shows and would put him to sleep before he went on stage.

He then married his second wife Renu who supported him constantly throughout his life and career.

His 16-year-long first marriage did not work out and his wife left him with their 1-year child to be with someone else. He struggled really hard to stay afloat.
