Do you remember two bald-headed very furious guys who hosted roadies in the very beginning? Well, they still are bald but the twins Raghu Ram and Rajiv Lakshman have come way beyond roadies. When roadies started a massive wave went among the youth of the nation to become a roadie. While a lot of youngsters actually participated for the thrill some even went to just witness Raghu and Rajiv’s anger. The show was a hit and still is. Raghu and Rajiv quit the show but their best friend Rannvijay Singha took the command and still leads the show.

When Raghu quit the show, it came as a shock to a lot of people as to why the brains behind the show made this decision.

Well Raghu wrote an autobiography in 2013 named Rearview: My Roadies Journey and cleared the air. He explained the reason for him quitting the show as he had some problems with the MTV executive head Ashish who threatened him and didn’t allow him to work on any other channel.

He also said when he submitted his resignation letter, he did not hear back from the team but later received a new contract from them which clearly did not accept Raghu’s term of work. He wrote in his biography that Ashish and his team threatened him with legal action.

Raghu eventually had to accept the contract but he was denied entry into the second season of Splitsvilla. Things got worse and he decided he couldn’t continue and finally resigned.

Raghu and his brother Rajeev have their own production house Monozygotic Solutions which have been the brains behind popular MTV shows like Skulls and Roses and India’s Best Judwaah.

The two have also recently launched a new reality show on Netflix called IRL: In Real Love which is hosted by Rannvijay Singha and Gauhar Khan.
