Accentuating Simplicity And Wearability, Radhika Jain’s MiRA Draws Influences From Nature And Femininity

Contemporary yet poetic, crafted in semi-precious materials, this Kolkata jewellery designer is offering refreshed versions of classic models of jewellery. Founded and driven by Radhika Jain, every piece of new jewellery celebrates the art of the past in the most novel and aesthetic ways.
Acknowledged and admired as a creator of unique designs, Radhika Jain is one of today's leading designers of modern jewellery. Her refined sense of style and incredibly intricate exquisite pieces have brought her work to the attention of jewellery lovers around the country and won her many laurels.
Sharing her journey in the field of jewellery designing, Radhika shared that her love for jewellery and her creative bend towards it contributed to the inception of MiRA. With patience and a practical approach towards designing, she mentioned "Creating jewellery for all age groups and making women look elegant was and is my driving force".
Artistic jewels that have a meaning in them, when asked about her process, the experienced jeweller answered with a smile, "When an original image comes to me, I first get that thought onto paper afterwards which takes the shape of a design. However, I always discuss them with my artisans and after a series of drawings, we have a collection ready!"
Incorporating the goldsmiths or 'karigars' as we call them in Hindi as a major part of her designing and execution process and having 20 of them in her dedicated team, MiRA crafts jewels in materials and styles that combine the best of old age designing with modern make.
Naming her favourite jewellery trend to be the blend of traditional and modern styles, she aims to create timeless jewels that become heirlooms for generations to come. "The current generation is sensible enough to preserve the virtues of old traditions and yet progressive enough to confidently redefine the role of jewellery with modern settings - and that's where our forte lies" added the founder of MiRA.
Predominately working with brass and copper, this jewellery brand breathes life into designs inspired by nature and a unique blend of bold and dainty pieces that make a statement.
By maintaining a low profile in the industry, Radhika Jain has evolved MiRA over the years to be a brand associated with elegance and sophisticated jewels while also aesthetically showcasing collections at Lakmé Fashion Week.
Upon asking what advice would she give to younger generations interested in this field, she said, "Patience is of utmost importance along with having originality for design making". "Sit with the artisans personally in the initial phase and learn the entire process of the craft which would widen your horizon" the jeweller added.
Jewellery plays an important role in a woman's life as it can make her feel beautiful, special, and confident while having a sentimental value attached to it. Creating these everlasting memories in exquisite pieces, quintessential and one-of-a-kind jewels are brought to Indian women by MiRA.
