Georgiana Mart Strengthens Navon’s Global Operations And Corporate Integrity

Georgiana Mart, Founder and CEO of Navon, addresses one of the most significant corporate challenges in its international presence. While preparing for relocation to Saudi Arabia, she faced a major internal crisis involving Navon Jobs. The former country manager of the Sri Lanka branch misappropriated a substantial sum in cash, issued official receipts to hundreds of candidates, and failed to record the transactions in its accounting system. A surprise audit uncovered the discrepancies, prompting Georgiana to travel to Sri Lanka personally to manage the recovery process and restore operational order.
Over a six-month duration, she supervised the complete reimbursement of affected customers, reestablished relations with local authorities, and engaged Sri Lanka's top legal representative, Kalinga Indatissa, to oversee proceedings. During this period, she was hospitalized after falling ill due to the demanding conditions but continued to coordinate corrective measures. Navon's brand integrity was fully restored, and all clients were repaid in full. The incident has since evolved into a criminal case versus the former manager.
The company pursued two legal cases against the individual. One has already resulted in a favorable judgment for Navon, while the second remains ongoing. The successful resolution reinforced its compliance structure, strengthened its legal framework, and protected its reputation in the region.
Navon continues to expand internationally with active operations in Romania, Bulgaria, the Republic of Moldova, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Sri Lanka. New branches in Serbia, Hungary, Spain, and Bahrain are scheduled to open by the end of 2025, showing its sustained growth and regional diversification strategy.
