Milind Sulekha Purushottam, a dynamic filmmaker, entrepreneur, and storyteller, has carved a niche for himself in the Indian film industry through his dedication, creativity, and diverse expertise. Born into a culturally rich family, Milind credits his parents, Shri Purushottam Kamble and Sulekha Kamble, for instilling strong values that have shaped his life and career.
Milind's journey began in Vashi, Navi Mumbai, where he completed his schooling at St. Mary's High School. Later, he pursued Industrial Electronics at Fr. Agnel Polytechnic, showcasing a rare blend of technical acumen and artistic flair. His love for filmmaking was sparked when his sister, Dr. Chitra Kamble, gifted him his first camera, a gesture that became the cornerstone of his artistic endeavors. Milind also acknowledges the unwavering support of his sister, Purva Sachin Mohite, whose encouragement has been instrumental in his journey.
Milind's filmmaking career is marked by a wide range of roles and contributions. He worked as an assistant director, associate director, and editor on various projects, including Hindi and Marathi films, documentaries, and web series. His work in television has been particularly noteworthy, with contributions to popular Doordarshan National TV serials, including Sukha Dukha Cha Vate Var, Suraksha, Gandhari Che Dole, Chakwa, Bedune Char, and Ganga.
Additionally, Milind served as an Episode Director for the Hindi serial Bodhivruksha on Lord Buddha Channel and contributed to the docu-vision film Caravan Ek Kafila. His expertise also extends to film production roles such as DI Colorist on Zhalla Bobhata and Still & Making artist on Mohar.
Milind's production house, FGM Film Production & Management, is a testament to his commitment to storytelling. Under this banner, he directed and edited acclaimed short films such as Bhook: The Hunger and Tezaab: The Burning Wound. His production house's mission is to tell stories that resonate with audiences and push creative boundaries.
Milind is currently working on two highly anticipated web series, Shadows of 333 and That Night. Shadows of 333 is a thriller-horror series in collaboration with Krishna Mohan Avancha, a prolific writer known for his expertise in spiritual and horror genres. The series delves into the mysteries of ancient Indian knowledge while blending spine-chilling storytelling.
That Night, initially launched in 2013, is being reimagined with a modern thriller-horror concept. This reboot promises to bring a fresh perspective and captivate audiences with its gripping narrative.
Milind attributes much of his success to the guidance of his cousin, Avinash M. Jadhav, a celebrated filmmaker with credits in Bollywood, Tollywood, and Hollywood. Their shared passion for cinema has resulted in a creative synergy that continues to inspire Milind's projects. Another significant influence is his friend, Krishna Mohan Avancha, whose literary prowess has added depth to Milind's storytelling. Their partnership reflects a shared vision of blending traditional themes with contemporary narratives.
