Suriya Injured In A Minor Accident During Kanguva Shooting: Currently engrossed in the filming of his forthcoming movie 'Kanguva,' actor Suriya, under the direction of Siruthai Siva, embarked on this grand project last year.
As the production nears completion, the final shooting schedule, featuring Suriya and Bobby Deol, is underway at EVP Film City in Chennai.
The recent startling development involves a minor accident occured at the Kanguva filming location last night at approximately 11 PM. Allegedly, a cable camera malfunctioned, causing it to fall onto Suriya's shoulders during the capturing of a crucial scene. Reports suggest the actor sustained minor injuries from the impact. Fortunately, both he and the crew members are safe, albeit with minor injuries.
Reports indicate that today's filming session has been canceled. According to sources, Suriya has been advised by doctors to undergo a two-week period of bed rest. Reportedly, Suriya narrowly escaped a more severe injury as the camera, which struck his shoulder, could have been more serious had it landed on his head. Amidst this, fans have been expressing their prayers for his swift recovery, eagerly hoping to see the diligent actor regain his health soon.
It remains uncertain whether the shooting will pause while the actor recuperates. Notably, his schedule was set to conclude his segments in Kanguva this month, aiming to wrap up the entire filming by next month. The film features Suriya in five distinct roles and leads an ensemble cast, including Disha Patani (in her Tamil debut), Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley, Kovai Sarala, Anandaraj, Ravi Raghavendra, K. S. Ravikumar, and B. S. Avinash.
The team behind the scenes comprises Devi Sri Prasad as the musician, Vetri Palanisamy as the cinematographer, and Nishadh Yusuf as the editor. With a staggering budget of ₹350 crore, Kanguva stands as the fifth most expensive Indian film ever made. Fans can anticipate its theatrical release in early 2024, available in both 2D and 3D formats.
