Yugendran's journey into the music world began as a Mridangamist, and he made his solo debut at the tender age of 10. His impressive debut featured a performance where the legendary Dr. Balamurali Krishna played the viola and was attended by none other than the maestro Illaiyaraja himself. He started by singing the shepherd boy's voice in the movie "Uzhavan Magan." As a young artist, he performed alongside his father in stage shows, both in India and abroad. Before becoming a playback singer, he even ventured into solo performances across various countries, including Switzerland, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Malaysia, and the United States.

Yugendran's journey as a playback singer began with the song "Pollaachi Santhaiyile" in the film "Rojavanam." But Yugendran's talents extend beyond music. He also ventured into acting and was initially set to make his debut in Raja Kantheeban's "Mouname" in 1998, though the project was eventually shelved.
