Vetri Maaran's Assistant Director Saran Raj Dies In An Accident: Renowned filmmaker Vetri Maaran's assistant director and supporting actor, Saran Raj, met with a fatal car accident, resulting in his untimely demise on the evening of June 8.

The incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. in KK Nagar when a car driven by supporting actor Palaniappan collided with Saran Raj's bike, causing him severe injuries that proved fatal. The tragic accident was reportedly caused by Palaniappan driving under the influence of alcohol.

Saran Raj, known for his contributions as an assistant director in Vetri Maaran's critically acclaimed film "Vada Chennai" and his supporting roles in both "Vada Chennai" and "Asuran," resided in Dhanalakshmi Street, Maduravoyal. While travelling along Arcot Road in KK Nagar, the accident abruptly ended his life.

Alerted by the local residents, the police arrived at the scene promptly. Saran Raj's body was sent for post-mortem examination, and a case has been filed, with investigations currently underway.

Preliminary findings reveal that the collision was caused by Palaniappan, a resident of Saligramam and also a supporting actor. The police investigation indicates that Palaniappan was driving the car while intoxicated. Authorities have since arrested him in connection with the accident.

Saran Raj's tragic demise has sent shockwaves throughout the film industry, leaving his colleagues and friends grieving. Further details regarding his funeral arrangements and last rites are awaited as the industry mourns the loss of a talented and promising individual.
