Elevated by Anirudh's exhilarating music, the film's resonance extends to both Rajinikanth enthusiasts and general moviegoers, garnering extensive praise for its electrifying energy.

"Jailer" boasts an ensemble cast including luminaries like Vinayakan, Vasanth Ravi, Tamannaah, and Ramya Krishnan in pivotal roles. The film's allure is further elevated by the participation of Malayalam cinema stalwart Mohanlal, Kannada cinema icon Shiva Rajkumar, and Bollywood veteran Jackie Shroff. The film hit theatres on August 10 to an exceptional reception. Sun Pictures unveiled staggering numbers on August 25, announcing global box office earnings exceeding 525 crore. Just yesterday, Cinetrak, a renowned box office tracker, revealed updated figures, showcasing a remarkable two-week collection of 535 crores. As the Nelson Dilipkumar-directed movie continues its triumphant run, it solidifies its place among the all-time Tamil hits.

"Jailer" has now ascended to the second spot on the list of all-time Kollywood blockbusters, amassing an impressive 535 crore gross. Only Rajinikanth's Shankar-directed movie "2 Point 0" claims the top position with a staggering Rs 665.8 crore collection. The podium also features "Ponniyin Selvan Part 1" at third with 492 crore and 'Vikram' at fourth with 432 crore. Notably, "Jailer" still commands impressive theatre occupancy, leaving analysts eagerly anticipating its lifetime collection milestone.

The film features Rajinikanth in the titular role, accompanied by a talented ensemble including Jackie Shroff, Shiva Rajkumar, Sunil, Ramya Krishnan, Vinayakan, Mirnaa Menon, Tamannaah Bhatia, and Vasanth Ravi. Additionally, the movie includes a cameo appearance by Mohanlal. Anirudh Ravichander composed the music, while Vijay Kartik Kannan and R. Nirmal took charge of cinematography and editing, respectively.

"Jailer" Soundtrack

Anirudh Ravichander is the creative force behind "Jailer's" music, marking his third collaboration with Rajinikanth following "Petta" (2019) and "Darbar" (2020) and his fourth collaboration with director Nelson, previously working together on "Kolamaavu Kokila" (2018), "Doctor" (2021), and "Beast" (2022). The album consists of eight tracks, with the debut single, "Kaavaalaa," releasing on July 6, 2023. The second single, "Hukum-Thalaivar Alappara," followed on July 17, 2023. "Jujubee," the third single, was revealed on July 26, 2023, while the complete album was launched on July 28, 2023. Additionally, the fourth single, "Rathamaarey," was also released on July 26, 2023.
