'Kabali' Ponnambalam Reveals The Person Who Backstabbed Him; Says 'He Mixed Slow Poison In My Food'

Actor 'Kabali' Ponnambalam has been a prominent actor in Tamil cinema since the 90s. Ponnambalam, who appeared as a gym boy in several films, played villains in successive leading actors' films.

He is familiar as a villainous actor who is known to many people by the name 'Kabali' rather than Ponnambalam in many films. Ponnambalam fell ill in between and recovered after undergoing treatment.

In this situation, Ponnambalam was being treated for a kidney disorder. Earlier in 2021, in an interview given by actor Ponnambalam to a leading media portal, he said "It was terrible that I struggled for medical expenses without money. I had suicidal thoughts more than 20 times." This video interview received widespread attention. In this case, it has been reported that he underwent a successful kidney transplant at Chennai Apollo Hospital on February 10, 2023.

In this regard, actor Ponnambalam thanked the hearts that helped him. Especially actor Ponnambalam's 2nd elder brother's son and ad film director Jagannathan has donated his kidney for his uncle Ponnambalam. He said that he owes him a lifetime. Similarly, actors Kamal Haasan, Chiranjeevi, Sarathkumar and Dhanush contributed financially to Ponnambalam. Actor Ponnambalam also thanked them.

In this situation, actor Ponnambalam, who recently gave an interview, said, "Many people said that I drunk alot and that's why this happened. But I am a victim. My father had four wives. The third wife's son, who is my brother, has worked as my manager. I trusted him a lot. But at some point it was revealed that he mixed slow poison in my food. I understood that on one night when they were digging a hole behind my house. They were putting my lungi, my toy and some suspicious pieces in it and they were doing some black magic.

They told me this matter only when I asked them that I would file a complaint with the police. I was shocked after knowing the truth. However, I felt what I'm going to achieve by filing a complaint about my brother. And so I will forget them. My brother is the one who took care of us when we were young. Although not much, he looked after me for a while and in return for that gratitude I did everything from medical help to financial support for his family. I also helped him to pay the house rent.

But in my 27th year I built a house. He doesn't seem to have digested it. However, no matter what I do, God has been with me and I have the love and support of the people."
