Leo Early Morning Show: Madras High Court Directs TN Government And Stakeholders To Review Show Timings

Leo Special Show: HC Directs Govt To Reconsider Show Timings

Madras High Court On 'Leo' Special Show Appeal: In a significant development, the producers of the highly anticipated film "Leo" have lodged an appeal with the Madras High Court, pushing for early morning showings to cater to fans' eager anticipation.

Yesterday, the company formally submitted its request to the court, seeking permission to initiate the initial screening at 4 a.m. rather than the government-mandated 9 a.m. start time. The plea underscores the unparalleled excitement surrounding "Leo" and the enthusiastic countdown among fans leading up to the film's premiere.

Leo Tamil Nadu Show Timing Update

Justice Anita Sumanth of the Madras High Court has directed the Tamil Nadu government to reconsider the issue of permitting five shows daily, starting at 7 a.m., between October 19 and October 24.

Justice Anita Sumanth refrained from passing any immediate orders regarding the special show at 4 a.m. on October 19, as the corresponding government order (GO) has not been formally challenged.

In response to this directive, the producer of the much-anticipated film "Leo," Seven Screen Studio, and representatives from the Tamil Nadu Theatre Owners Association have been summoned to appear before Tamil Nadu government officials. The crucial meeting is set to take place at 4 p.m. later this evening, where the stakeholders will engage in discussions regarding the show timings and any other related matters.

Leo Show Timings In Tamil Nadu Under New Government Order

Ahead of the theatrical release of Thalapathy Vijay's 'Leo' on October 19, the Tamil Nadu government has recently issued a Government Order (GO). This upcoming film has obtained authorization for up to five screenings each day during a six-day period, spanning from October 19 to October 24, in theatres across the state.

According to the government order, cinemas in Tamil Nadu are authorised to hold a special screening of 'Leo' on the specified dates. The initial screening is scheduled to commence at 9:00 a.m., and the final show should conclude at 1:30 a.m.

In their recent government order, state authorities have instructed the licencing authorities operating under the Tamil Nadu Cinemas (Regulation) Act, 1955, and Rules, 1957, to establish special teams within their jurisdictions to monitor any violations of provisions related to admission rates for cinemas screening 'Leo'.

Additionally, directives have been issued to enforce adequate safety and security measures for the general public and theatergoers. This includes overseeing traffic management and parking arrangements while preventing the imposition of excessive admission fees during the special 'Leo' screenings. This Government Order (GO) from the Tamil Nadu government serves to clarify prior reports that indicated the first 'Leo' show in the state was scheduled to commence at 4 a.m.

As the legal proceedings unfold, all eyes are on the Madras High Court's decision regarding the early morning showtimes for "Leo," a film that has already garnered immense attention and enthusiasm. Fans of Thalapathy Vijay eagerly await the outcome, hoping for a chance to witness the movie at a more convenient hour.
