heartbreaking

events,
the
Tamil
film
industry
mourns
the
untimely
demise
of
Marimuthu,
an
assistant
director
working
under
the
acclaimed
filmmaker
Mari
Selvaraj.
The
30-year-old,
known
for
his
work
in
successful
movies
like
'Karnan'
and
'Maamannan,'
reportedly
tragically
passed
away
due
to
a
respiratory
issue.
Hailing
from
Tirupuliangudi
village
near
Srivaikundam
in
Thoothukudi
district,
Marimuthu
harboured
aspirations
of
directing
his
own
film.
The
news
of
Marimuthu's
death
has
left
the
film
fraternity
in
sorrow.
Reports
indicate
that
excessive
smoking
might
have
led
to
his
lung-related
ailment,
resulting
in
his
hospitalisation
and,
unfortunately,
his
passing.
Marimuthu
leaves
behind
his
wife,
Sheba,
and
their
five-year-old
son,
Samuel.
The
authorities
have
initiated
an
investigation
into
the
circumstances
surrounding
Marimuthu's
demise,
aiming
to
ascertain
the
exact
cause.
Marimuthu's
contributions
to
the
success
of
'Maamannan'
were
recognised
during
the
movie's
success
celebration,
and
he
was
honoured
with
a
memento
award
by
Udhayanidhi
Stalin.
