Nanjil Vijayan and Suriya Devi reportedly made comments against Vanitha after her third marriage. The Bigg Boss star filed a police complaint against Suriya Devi, accusing her of making defamatory statements, which led to her arrest.

After Suriya Devi's arrest, Nanjil Vijayan expressed support for Vanitha on social media, leaving Suriya Devi upset. Subsequently, a case was registered against Nanjil Vijayan based on Suriya Devi's complaint, resulting in his arrest under five sections for not appearing for interrogation despite multiple summonses.
