Lavanya Opens Up About Unwanted Casting Director Advances: In a recent interview, Lavanya, the talented actress from the popular serial 'Pandian Stores,' revealed her unsettling experience with a casting director.

Lavanya spoke candidly about the casting director's inappropriate proposal for a 6-month deal, shedding light on the uncomfortable situations many aspiring actors face.

Originally from Coimbatore, Lavanya pursued her dreams of becoming an actress after securing a high-paying job at a bank following her studies at SRM College in Chennai. However, her secret aspirations for acting led her to modelling and advertisements.

Initially, her family was shocked when they discovered her desire to act, but Lavanya's determination eventually won them over. She made her debut in the serial 'Sippikul Muthu,' which aired on Star Vijay TV. Afterward, Lavanya took on the role of Mullai in 'Pandian Store,' following in the footsteps of the late V. J. Chitra and Kaavya Arivumani, where her performance was warmly received by fans.

Beyond television serials, Lavanya has ventured into films and is also part of the web series 'Vera Maari Office,' available on the Aha OTT platform.

Lavanya's Distressing Encounter With A Casting Director

In her interview, Lavanya disclosed that during her initial foray into acting, a casting director approached her, initially offering opportunities. However, the situation took a distressing turn when the casting director suggested she stay connected and proposed a 6-month adjustment period. Lavanya hesitated to respond and remained silent as the casting director claimed that other actresses had accepted such arrangements to advance their careers.

"The casting director claimed that this decision would elevate my career, citing examples of other actresses who had benefited from such agreements. I chose to remain silent during the encounter. Eventually, I left without providing a response. My career had just started, and I was afraid that speaking out against this person publicly would jeopardise it. However, I no longer harbour that fear, which is why I am addressing this issue now," Lavanya said in the interview.

Lavanya's bold decision to speak out about this unsettling encounter has garnered support from fans and industry insiders alike.
