Thalaivar 170 Is Titled Vettaiyan: The long-awaited revelation arrives! Rajinikanth's next movie, directed by TJ Gnanavel, is officially named 'Vettaiyan.' Lyca Productions revealed the title via a teaser on Tuesday, coinciding with the superstar's 73rd birthday.
The title teaser hints at a compelling social drama catering to the audience's expectations. Reports suggest Rajinikanth portrays a police officer embroiled in a conflict over a fabricated encounter, drawing inspiration from a true-life event.
The footage starts with the superstar engrossed in a book about Netaji Subash Chandra Bose. To everyone's surprise, music director Anirudh Ravichander introduces a fresh soundtrack as the teaser unfolds, accompanying the legendary 'Super Star Rajini' introduction card. Subsequently, we witness the iconic actor, adorned with a captivating clip-on sunglass and wielding a gun, delivering the line, "When the hunt begins, the prey must surrender."
Vettaiyan Cast And Crew
Vettaiyan, previously known as Thalaivar 170, features a star-studded cast including Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan, GM Sundar, Rohini, Rao Ramesh, Ramesh Thilak, and Rakshan. SR Kathir handles cinematography, while Philomin Raj takes charge of editing. The movie is produced by Subaskaran under Lyca Productions.
In other news, Rajinikanth is set for a cameo in Lal Salaam, directed by his daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth. Additionally, his upcoming 171st film will be helmed by director Lokesh Kanagaraj.
