The film revolves around the character Gunashekhar, also known as "Guns" (played by Siddharth), a carefree youngster with dreams of becoming a millionaire. His life takes an unexpected turn when he crosses paths with Lucky (Divyansha Kaushik), a wealthy girl who believes money is the cause of all troubles. During a road trip, they find themselves caught up in a dangerous web of human trafficking, leading to life-altering consequences.

Originally scheduled for release on April 17, 2020, "Takkar" faced several delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic crisis. After much anticipation, it finally premiered on June 9, 2023, receiving a mixed response from both critics and audiences.

Directed by Karthik G. Krish, known for his work in the film "Kappal," and produced by Sudhan Sundaram and G. Jayaram under the banner of Passion Studios, "Takkar" showcases stunning cinematography by Vanchinathan Murugesan and skillful editing by GA Gowtham.
