According to film industry tracker AB George, Thalapathy Vijay's "GOAT" had a phenomenal performance at the box office on Sunday, grossing over ₹55 crore as per early estimates. The total weekend collection for the first four days is projected to reach around ₹280 crore. With such a strong start, the film is on track to become another mega blockbuster for Vijay, marking an all-time blockbuster (ATBB) opening and further solidifying his box office dominance.
Meanwhile, The Greatest of All Time was featured in a column by Deadline, which reported that GOAT is expected to log an estimated $34M (₹285 Cr) worldwide opening weekend, according to their sources.
GOAT Synopsis
Gandhi, a seasoned hostage negotiator, field agent, and spy with Chennai's Special Anti-Terrorist Squad (SATS), works closely with RAW. Even with his strong commitment to his wife and son, unexpected challenges emerge after his years of retirement. Now Gandhi, together with his three-member SATS team, must confront the repercussions of their previous missions.
GOAT Cast And Crew
The cast of The Greatest of All Time (GOAT) stars Vijay in dual roles as Gandhi and Jeevan, with Akhil playing the younger Jeevan. Supporting roles are portrayed by Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, Ajmal Ameer, Mohan, and Jayaram. Sneha plays Gandhi's wife and Jeevan's mother, while Laila appears as a doctor, and Meenakshi Chaudhary, with her voice dubbed by M. M. Manasi, plays Srinidhi, Jeevan's love interest. Vaibhav is cast as Jeevan's friend, and Premgi Amaren as Gandhi's brother-in-law and Jeevan's uncle. The film also features Yugendran, Parvati Nair, VTV Ganesh, Aravind Akash, Ajay Raj, Komal Sharma, Abyuktha Manikandan, Anjena Kirti, Dileepan, Ganja Karuppu, T. Siva, and Irfan Zaini, with cameo appearances by Vijayakanth and Y. G. Mahendran, the latter employing AI technology.
