Mamta Mohandas Opens Up About Industry Experiences: Mamta Mohandas, a versatile actor who made her debut in Hariharan's "Mayookham," has made a mark in Malayalam, Tamil, and Telugu cinema. In a recent interview during the promotion of her new film "Maharaja," Mamta shared her candid views on her career and the film industry.
The actor emphasised that she has never aspired to be labelled a superstar, stating that such titles and others' attempts to diminish her do not affect her. Mamta recounted an incident where she played a small role in a comeback film of a prominent Malayalam actress, only to have the same actress decline a role in a subsequent film where Mamta was the lead.
"Many actresses in the industry act out of insecurity about their status," Mamta explained. "I have never harboured such insecurities. I am content with my work and derive satisfaction from it."

Mamta also criticised the practice of self-proclaimed superstars who use public relations to promote themselves. "Some actors use their PR teams to label themselves as superstars across various media outlets. I do not pay attention to such tactics," she asserted.
Reflecting on her experiences with industry peers, Mamta admitted to encountering challenges but affirmed that she remains focused on her work. "I have had my share of unpleasant experiences with actresses in the industry, but I am unaffected by them. I focus on doing my job well and find joy in it," she added.
