Produced by Soubin Shahir under his own banner, Parava Films, "Manjummel Boys" has garnered significant attention as one of the most eagerly awaited releases of the year in Malayalam cinema.

The survival thriller, which is inspired by the actual events that occurred within the notorious 'Guna Caves' of Kodaikanal, recounts the tale of a group of friends trapped within the cave with no one coming to their aid.

According to Indian box office tracker Sacnilk, Manjummel Boys concluded its extended 8-day first week with an impressive collection exceeding 54 crore gross worldwide. Domestically, it amassed approximately 31.25 crores gross, while its overseas earnings surpassed 23 crores within the same period. In Kerala alone, the film grossed around 24.75 crores in its inaugural week.

In Tamil Nadu, this blockbuster thriller has achieved a milestone by becoming the first Malayalam movie to surpass 3 crores in gross collections, currently standing at over 3.50 crores. Encouragingly, the movie's screenings have experienced a significant surge, particularly from the second weekend onwards-a rare occurrence in Tamil Nadu.

Reports indicate that several rural areas in Tamil Nadu are showcasing a Malayalam film for the first time, directly translating into notable box office figures. While there is still ground to cover, industry experts express optimism that Manjummel Boys may be the first Malayalam movie to breach the 10 crore gross mark in the state.

Chidambaram, known for directing 'Jan.E.Man', helmed the project 'Manjummel Boys'. The upcoming film also features Deepak Parambol, Ganapathi, Lal Jr., Abhiram Radhakrishnan, Arun Kurian, Khalid Rahman, Chandu Salimkumar, and Vishnu Reghu in key roles.

On the technical side, Shyju Khalid was the cinematographer of the film, and Vivek Harshan was the editor. Sushin Shyam was in charge of the music, and Ajayan Chalissery was the art director. Mashar Hamsa was the costume designer, and Ronex Xavier was the makeup artist.
